The organic food industry is undergoing an explosion in growth and there is good reason for it. Many people believe that these kinds of foods are much better for your health for many reasons. Most regular foods are processed with additional chemicals for the purpose of preserving the product further or to make the food look more appealing such as adding a color enhancer.
The problem is that we do not know the long term effects that consuming all these synthetic chemicals can have on our body so if you can minimize your consumption of them then it may be the best option to help maintain good health and consuming organic foods is a great way to reduce your intake of these chemicals.
You can find organic foods for almost anything now from fruits to meat. Many large supermarkets carry organic foods and you can even order them online. Organic fruits are grown free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. They are grown with natural fertilizers and pests are kept at a minimum using other methods that do not involve harsh pesticides. Of course, organic fruits will cost more than the regular variety simply because they do cost more to grow. Also the yield from organic farming is less so fewer fruits are produced.
However organic foods are generally much richer in nutrients than regular foods. This is because the soil used in organic farming is generally much richer in nutrition. Even though organic fruits may not look perfect this does not mean that they have gone bad. It is normal for a fruit to have a few scars on it so do not let that turn you off. Also many people report that organic foods taste much better. If you like the taste of organic fruits and vegetables you are much more likely to eat them more often and we all know that we need to be consuming more fruits and vegetables to maintain optimal health.
Remember that you can always reduce your consumption levels slightly of organic foods and still get great benefits since they are so rich in nutrients. This way you can save money and actually end up paying the same or even less than if you chose the alternative.
Organic meat could also be a better alternative to regular meat.
Meat that is produced organically can be drastically different than that which is produced using traditional methods. Organic beef is produced from cows that are raised without the use of hormones and also these cows are raised in open fields and are allowed to roam freely and socialize with other cows as they would in nature.
This is a far more humane manner of treating animals and supporting the organic meat industry can be justified just based on this reason alone. Organic meat will also cost more than regular meat but the added benefits as far as nutrition and also benefits to the environment and the animals themselves can make it worth the slight extra cost. Again the reason for the extra cost is that organic meat farmers cannot produce as much as farmers using conventional methods so they must charge more in order to stay in business.
You can even consider making some of your own organic foods such as fruits and vegetables in your backyard when the season is appropriate. Make sure to get organic plant seeds and be sure to use organic fertilizers. Also remember that organic farming is much more friendly to the environment since there is no use of harsh chemicals that kill pests and also degrade the quality of the soil. Consider organic foods as part of your diet to help you to maintain better health.

The term "organic" is a marketing term not an agriculture term.
First to clear the air about 2 misnomers about Organic produce.
1.Organic doesn't mean no pesticides or herbicides used-it means Certain chemical(pesticides) are used that are thought to be less invasive and therefore more natural. This criteria differs from region to region, state to state. For instance here in TN I can't use Sevin(a powered nerve gas) on organic crops-20 miles north in KY it is considered organic. Basically,if the chemical kills by contact ie stops breathing-it is not organic. But if it kills by being eaten(destroying the digestive tract and the bug starves) it is considered organic. That should show how utterly ridiculous it is.
2. There has never-never been any independent study that shows organically grown food is any better for you than regular growing practices-it's logical of course but then logic seldom has any thing to do with how somethings react.
My organic crops don't cost anymore to produce that others-just the practice is different. Also, it doesn't cost a dime to have your land certified organic-as long as you follow the rules.
Organic foods are just a marketing tool to make more money by giving something a politically correct label.

The only things that have a benefit from eating organic or thin skinned foods. Such as grapes, berries etc….ones that have thin skin.
Other than that there is no health benefit.
Incredible! He looks so life like. Just amazing…and what a beautiful subject
well, eating organic foods helps your mind focus more and makes you healthier. you will also feel better eating organic foods than eating junk food for example.
Great talent Der Mann.
Well, as you mentioned, they are healthier/better for you. I mean who wants to eat foods that are loaded with chemicals?
Also, in many cases, they taste better. Sometimes the difference isn't noticeable, other times it's obvious.
They are also better for the environment because all those synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals aren't getting into the soil, groundwater, and runoff…which eventually dumps it into streams and rivers. Obviously, when this happens it's pretty bad for the critters that live in, or drink, that water.
Lastly, most organic farmers emphasize the use of renewable, or sustainable, resources and use methods that attempt to conserve soil and water.
eatin organic helps ur body get cleanse and stay clean. allows ur body to run more efficiently. in other words, it makes u healthier. eat tofu, its made from soybeans, its good for u, and it tastes good if u know how to cook it haha, hope that helps!
Good luck!!
Nice work, you did pretty good.
Absolutely no difference in taste. probably half of the organic veggies in store aren't.
You've got to consider the types of food you are eating. Organic junk food is still junk food!
There have been studies done that prove that there are more nutrients – vitamins and minerals in organic food (although I can't remember the links).
Pesticides and fungicides which are sprayed on to foods are highly toxic – if they are designed to kill insects (life) then they are also going to be harmful to humans.
But to be healthy you need to look at your whole diet – eat as much fresh raw fruits and vegetables as you can and limit processed foods.
Very nice!!
You’re really good man. You’ve got excellent talent.
This is a subject near and dear to my heart. I have severe multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) and was directed by my doctor to eat organic. This advice was given me before I got so sick I couldn't leave my home. I was still able to work, still able to have a life. I went to the local health food store, took one look at the price of cucumbers, and headed on out the door.
Foolish, foolish me!
To appreciate the value of organic food, you need to understand the problems with our food supply in general.
First, conventional farming exhausts the soil. Rather than rebuild the soil, chemical fertilizers are used to coax the land to continue to grow. The crops that are produced do not have the natural balance of nutrients present in produce grown in healthy soil.
Second, pesticides and insecticides are used in the name of keeping bugs from devouring the crops. There is a natural balance to this earth (if we maintain optimal conditions), and good bugs that keep the bad bugs at bay. Insecticides and pesticides kill off both the bad and the good…making it necessary to keep spraying poisons on the food because there are no good guys to keep the bad ones under control.
Third, produce is harvested before it is ripe. By picking green, a grower has more time to get the food to market. However, the food is not as nutrient dense as it would be if it were allowed to ripen naturally on the vine (or tree).
Fourth, there is the issue of food irradiation. Fresh produce is irradiated on the premise that it kills bad microbes that cause food borne illnesses. Truth is that irradiation kills the good stuff present in food as well… enzymes present in all living foods and so critical to optimal health, do not survive irradiation. There's more to it than this, but way too lengthy a discussion.
Fifth is the genetically engineered foods (GE) that are getting to be a bigger and bigger part of our food supply. The creators of GE foods are the big chemical companies. You would have to do serious research to appreciate the implications and concerns of GE foods…again, too big a topic.
I eat organic now. I know where all the health food stores are in my area, and I know where everything is in those stores. I grow organic in my little home garden strips, and I practice every green activity I have become familiar with. And my health is improving.
Pretty long dialog…but no succinct way to explain it better.
I read the first response, and it saddens me the volume of mis-information that exists. We all need to eat, and food is big business. Never underestimate the prapoganda that is circulated…not to educate us, not to promote our health or the health of the earth…but to protect profits.
Excellent work. Pleasure to watch. Perfect music

Organic foods have higher nutrient content and less toxins, and are therefore much healthier than non-organic.
"Organically grown food is your best way of reducing exposure to toxins used in conventional agricultural practices. These toxins include not only pesticides, many of which have been federally classified as potential cancer-causing agents, but also heavy metals such as lead and mercury, and solvents like benzene and toluene. Minimizing exposure to these toxins is of major benefit to your health. Heavy metals damage nerve function, contributing to diseases such as multiple sclerosis and lowering IQ, and also block hemoglobin production, causing anemia. Solvents damage white cells, lowering the immune system's ability to resist infections. In addition to significantly lessening your exposure to these health-robbing substances, organically grown foods have been shown to contain substantially higher levels of nutrients such as protein, vitamin C and many minerals."

You can still eat meat, just eat organic meat (free-range eggs and chicken, grass-fed bison, organic milk) if you can. Watch out for mercury and antibiotics in fish, either eat occasionally, or eat wild fish that is low in mercury concentration (like wild salmon). Farm-raised fish tend to have high anti-biotic concentration.
